Thomas Ganley
Originally trained as an artist and currently a police detective in Connecticut, Tom is interested in all things aquatic and has been keeping fish his entire adult life. Tom travels extensively to collect aquarium fish and sport fish. He has collected in Belize, Costa Rica, Malaysia, Mexico, Panama, Singapore and Uruguay as well as much of the eastern and southeastern United States. Tom's articles and photographs have been published in Aquarium Fish Magazine, Tropical Fish Hobbyist, American Currents, Cichlasoma Power and other local club publications. Tom likes all fish and aquatic critters but his primary interests are native fish, new world cichlids, catfish and Polypterus species. When Tom is not watching his sons T.J and Grant play sports, Tom occasionally gives presentations to aquarium clubs on native fish and various collecting trips.
Tom will be speaking on collecting various species in Alabama. He will cover a variety of fish types (sunfish, shiners, killifish, etc)
